THE GOLDEN RULES

If your Saniflo is installed correctly it should give you many years of excellent service.

Please take a little time now to look at the
GOLDEN RULES OF INSTALLATION
If your proposed installation cannot follow the rules then do not buy a unit,
It will only cause you endless problems.

Once you have determined that one of the Saniflo units WILL be suitable then give us a call and we will assist you further.

Saniflo Systems are supplied with a 2 year warranty supported by a
UK wide network of 140 Saniflo Engineers.

DlSCHARGE PIPEWORK (for recommended pipe sizes see below)

FOR example pipework configurations please check the
CAN and CANNOT links on the left of this page

All units will pump HORIZONTALLY or VERTICALLY  or a combination.

For SANICONDENS units please give us a call to discuss the application.

1.  The UNITS are NOT designed to pump LEVEL or UPHILL. i.e. CANNOT pump on an UPHILL GRADIENT away from the machine.

2. After any initial “VERTICAL” lift, the discharge pipework MUST NOT then lift again anywhere in the run.

3. All “VERTICAL” lifts must begin within 300mm of the unit and MUST PRECEDE any “HORIZONTAL” run.

 4. All “HORIZONTAL” runs must have a minimum 1 in 100 (10mm per Metre) fall away from the unit  “DOWNHILL” – NB: The GREATER the FALL the BETTER!

5. All changes of direction must be made using SLOW RADIUS BENDS which can be

two off-set bends in plastic or pulled bends in copper to make 92½° angle.

 6. Use either Solvent Weld Rigid Plastic or Copper Discharge Pipework.

 7. All EXTERNAL Pipework MUST be insulated with appropriate lagging materials.

RECOMMENDED DISCHARGE PIPEWORK SIZES

  A.     SANIFLO – TOP – SLIM – PLUS – PACK

1. All discharge in 22mm for the first 10 metres then increase pipe to 32mm

2. The most efficient way to install pipework is to use 22mm for the VERTICAL LIFT
and 32mm for the HORIZONTAL RUN with much more than the
1-100 (10mm in a metre
) fall (i.e. as much fall away to the soil stack
or manhole as possible)

SANISHOWER for SHOWER and BASIN – use only in a domestic situation.
As per A but use 22mm pipework only

SANICOMPACT - for TOILET and BASIN – use only in a domestic situation.
As per A but use 32mm pipework only -
NOT smaller size

SANIVITE - As per A but use 32mm pipework only - NOT smaller size

SANISPEED -   As per A but use 32mm pipework only - NOT smaller size

SANICOM -   As per A but use 32mm pipework only - NOT smaller size

VENTING: Most Saniflo units have an integral carbon filter.

CLEANING:  Details of easy in-situ maintenance supplied with every unit.

HOT WATER: Designed to accept water up to 90°c for 2 minutes. Not boiling water
(NOTE: If the unit pumps very hot water for a prolonged period
it will automatically cut out and protect the motor.
When cool it will begin to pump again automatically)

UNITS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH WASTE DISPOSAL UNITS or TO DISPOSE OF CAUSTIC ACID OR SOLVENT WASTE
(i.e. NO CHEMICALS)

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

1. All Saniflo units require a 220/240 volt single phase AC/50 Hz supply.
2. Wire into a 5 Amp un-switched fused spur - NOT a conventional socket
3. All work on the cable, pressure chamber and motor should only be carried out by a qualified Saniflo Service Engineer in compliance with relevant electrical regulations.
